[A/S] Armstrong AC pooped out

Hi folks, my 37 year old Armstrong AC on my '73 Airstream will not
even stay running, much less cool.

I was hoping it was the thermostat, but I cleaned it and it is still
acting like death throws.

Someone suggested a Carrier low profile the last time I thought it was
dead, but I think I heard they are not in business anymore?

Anyway suggestions and sympathy gratefully recieved.
