Thank you for the clarification. I thought that the R12 was the primary
refrigerant prior to the ban.

RV air conditioners use R22 same as a household unit.
R12 was the stuff used in automotive applications.
R12 has been "banned" for some time. R22 won't be phased out until 2015.
