Chris is perfectly correct. Padre Island is a wonderful spot.

HOWEVER, most people find it too humid and hot in March, and it is twice as far from Dallas (compared to the Galveston
parks). And the last half of the drive gives new meaning to "barren".

But - tastes differ.
