We found the Port Aransas area to be just right for us. Small town and
plenty of beach for all is accessible. We camped at the Pioneer RV Resort
... highly recommended. Essentially the campground is on the beach, but
from most sites you have to walk 50 - 100 yards to get there over the dunes
on a boardwalk. Corpus Christie is 10 miles away if you have the need for a
big city. Just remember ... all beaches and areas will be more crowded
during spring break times.
