Hi Steve
I have a 74 International, so I may be able to answer some of you questions.
The design of the access door to the rear of the fridge, must have been done
because it was cheaper not to include hinges.
There is a curl on the top of the door that fits into a curl on the top of
the opening. You have to hook the door curl into the opening curl. This is
best done by tipping the door up so that it upside down and inside out and
hooking the two curls together. Then bring the door down so it is hanging by
the curls.
Once that is hooked in, you can move the door left and right to fit it
properly into the opening. The seals should line up and then you can latch
the door. This is easier demonstrated than explained.

Subject: [A/S] Three questions
Greetings and Happy New Year.
I'm new here and the new owner of a 74 L 23 twin.
I have an owners manual but as yet haven't found any of these answers.
The access door behind the frig came off and I can't get it to reattach.
There is a curved ridge on top that has to fit into a slot to be a hinge but
I can't seem to find where it fits.
It has twin beds on either side of the hall and half way up from the bed to
the window there is a rail attached to the wall. What's it for ?[John P
Sargeant] Is this on the trailer wall, or the wall that separates the
bedroom from the bath? It could be the bottom bracket for the curtains.
On the rear above the bumper storage there is a clear 3/4 in. light. It has
a diamond shaped lens and I'm sure it's there to tell me something but so
far it hasn't lit up.[John P Sargeant] I wonder if this is the light over
the license plate. See photo at

&mode=tn&order=ordinal&start=21&count=20&dir=asc It only lights up when the
trailer is attached to the tow vehicle and the umbilical cord is connected.
I suspect this has something to do with 110 power but so far all I get when
it's plugged in is the receptacles working.

I had to replace the converter on mine when I first got it a few years ago.
Nothing at all out of the converter, not even a hum. It has 110 to it and
all fuzes are good but no output.
I'm going at this slowly and trying not to do any damage. I replaced one
frozen gas valve to the heater and it and the stove are working but no
response from the fridge on 110.[John P Sargeant] although repair people
have told me the fridge works on both 110 and gas, I've never been able to
use it on 110 and simply use gas. When we're parked for a long time, we use
an igloo cooler that plugs into the 12 volt.
I expect to replace the converter but I plan to pull it out and play with it
first. It looks like someone has already played with it some.
Thanks
Steve Bray
