Hi Steve,
Others have addressed the fridge access door but if you think of it
as being opened up all the way then the curled edges just slide together.
I think that rail in the bedroom maybe the lower curtain track.
The little round light is a reverse polarity warning light. Some
older campgrounds had very poor electrical wiring. So if it glows
when you plug in don't touch the trailer... unplug and move to a
different campsite.
The fridge needs 12 volts as well as 110 AC (or gas) to work so if
your converter is not putting out anything the fridge will not cool
on gas or electric.
