Sharon, I've had it happen several times in the past. I wrote to Gary off-forum, but for the sake of others who have had to play with theirs to get them to come down, I will repeat the 'fix' for them. I was able to push the sticky side up a little higher to get it to release--there is a little flex in the window, but try not to break anything. I haven't had the problem for years since using some silicone dry lubricant as you recommend. A nice idea to add that to one's yearly preparation check-off list.

This has happened to me on several occasions affecting the driver's side window. It almost always happens when the T@B isn't level or there seems to be a little torque going on from corner to corner. If my stablilizers aren't snug, it happens then too.

I make sure to keep the track supports lubricated and just work it up and down until it closes. I never force the issue and I always do it slowly so there's no damage. It will eventually close if you are patient. Sometimes I'll push inwards on the side of the support as I'm trying to close it and that will free it to go down.
