We recently camped in freezing weather and noticed significant condensation where there is metal framing that allows transmission of frigid temps into the T@B. Our breath is moisture laden and condenses heavily on those cold surfaces.
There is a lot of metal hardware (screws & bolts) in that part of the T@B that can 'transmit' frigid temps inside and cause condensation (even frost!) in that front joint. Our door frame is dripping wet on occasion in very cold temps.
Even with windows or vents slightly open we were unable to keep humidity down and retain enough heat to keep us warm. I was shocked to see humdity at 40% outside and 96% inside on one recent 23F morning.
We keep all cabinets slightly open when we camp in the cold, keep air circulating (tiny 12V computer fan) and hope that it will help eliminate super cold spots. I would imagine that having a furnace would help keep humidity down but we don't have one so...
There have been others with significant leaks in the clamshell front floor joint on this site. Hopefully, they will chime in with some answers for you.
