[tabtrailers] Re: Clamshell: Damp, moldy floor up front : (

Alan, As a CS owner I, of course, have leaks in both places. My question was about dampness (which means water is getting in) up front under the storage compartments. I pulled up the floor covering inside the storage bin that's in front of the door. I haven't had the nerve to remove the storage compartments and look further toward the back, but I suspect I should. Along with stopping the leak, I need to dry out the affected area. Plywood won't dry under vinyl flooring. It's just that this is a very involved and unhappy process : ( John <>{

I have no doubt water could get in through the door in a driving rain. So far it appears not to have happened but I'm sure in time it will.

Have any of you clamshell owners figured out the source of the moisture? I don't know if the leading edge of the floor system is picking up water from the outside...or the door lets water in somehow? I would love to avoid reinventing the wheel if any of you have been through this : ) John <>{
