I believe you'll find you have three valves. One main valve which allows
either tank to be drained overboard and a valve for each tank which are
"Y'd" to the main valve. To drain just the grey tank you open the grey tank
valve and the main valve. The grey will not go into the black tank unless
you have the black tank open at the same time. Since we always use our
shower in the camper I like to find full hookups and leave the gray valve
and the main valve open. All the grey water just flows overboard into the
sewer system so there is nothing to drain when we get ready to leave. I do
close the grey valve when I plan to drain the black tank to use the water to
flush the hose after draining the black tank.
Daisy is right - you should check your owner's manual.
