Sharon, let me see if I can make one up for you with installation instructions and mail it to you. You should have it within a week. Will contact you off-forum with more information.Jerry J----- Original Message -----From: Sharon SigmonSent: Thursday, March 17, 2011 10:06 PMSubject: [tabtrailers] Break Away CableEvenin' Everyone...
Has anyone here ever replaced their break away cable? If so, where did you get your new one and who installed it for you if you didn't do it yourself?
The reason I'm asking is that today after unhitching, I thought the break away cable was hanging down UNDER the hitch ball (I loop it around the ball when towing), but it wasn't. Consequently, when I moved the car, it destroyed the cable. The hooks at both ends were bent, twisted and pulled apart with absolutely no way to fix them.
With a big trip coming up in three weeks, I need to get this replaced and reinstalled right away. Any guidance and suggestions on your part would be welcomed!
Sharon in NC (kicking myself that I didn't double check!)
