Cindy, I believe everyone who says you most likely don't need a transmission cooler are right on the money. The data for the FJ tow capacity of "all models" is 5,000lbs, which is well above our recommended minimum tow capacity.
David must have it right, that it was designed for off-road use, with the standard cooling capacity plenty adequate. I presume a 7-pin connector is standard--??? If it only comes with a 4-pin connector, be sure whoever installs the 7-pin includes a larger ground lead along with the battery charge lead, which will also need to be added.
