[A/S] Trim suggestions?

Hi,
Does anyone have advice on the best way to install the replacement white interior belt trim on the upper cabinets of our 77 Excella? We have about half of it installed but there MUST be an easier way...the new stuff is so stiff, we are really fighting with it in a couple of areas. Thanks for any ideas...we always receive such great tips from the Airstream listees!
