Good point Jerry - I do realize that fact about the brakes but it is a good point.

I owned a bicycle shop for almost 20 years and we always got to hear interesting stories on Mondays when people hauled in their broken bikes. One such Monday morning a customer came in with a small children's bike and the front wheel that was bent into a taco shape. Many people complain about the price of these replacement parts when the bikes are sold so cheap in discount stores but these folks seemed pleased to pay the $20 price. As I was fitting the new wheel they explained that the little bike had indeed saved them thousands of dollars as it had stopped their new large camping trailer from going into the Colorado River when the trailer rolled, out of control, down a slope. One of their kids had parked their bike behind the trailer and it was about all that stood between the rig and the water.

I'm not recommending kid's bikes as an emergency trailer wheel chock but in this case it saved the day.

Richard, a good list with which I agree for the most part. One thing I would caution about is the ability to use the hand brake on a slope--if backing it on a back-slope, it will not help because the brakes are designed to release when backing. We had an incident at one of the early rallies we attended where a member was positioning by hand (with help from some other members) hers on a slope with a river behind it. Everyone was surprised when the hand brake did not stop it and it took four of us struggling to finally stop it, so it didn't wind up in the river. This is one of a number of items that is not mentioned in the Owner's Manual which would be very helpful to those not familiar with the unique features of the T@B.

Reasons I like the T@B:

The T@B allows a creative person to have a clean pallet for their innovations in electrical, mechanical or interior furnishing details, but the T@B does not need to be modified to enjoy it.
T@B trailers make people smile.
You don't need a dedicated tow vehicle for a T@B.
The T@B is light enough for one or two people to move it by hand. If you want to turn it around in a camp space to face sideways or other direction, it is no problem.
The hand brake allows you to have good control while moving the trailer on sloped ground.
A T@B is a very logical step for tent campers who can no longer sleep on the ground.
Although you will see people post issues with T@Bs, most are very fixable and many are trim related. Very few are structural or show-stopping issues.
T@B people are a nice and helpful bunch of folks. If you follow the group you will see that everyone is very helpful with constructive comments for newbies.
There are enough T@Bs around that there are rallies you can attend. There are not so many T@Bs around that they have become commonplace. Expect to have visitors stop by requesting tours.
T@Bs are the ultimate driveway "Man Cave" or Solitude Reading Room.
There is simple space expandability with the various awnings and screen room options.
There is an excellent resale market for used trailers. If you don't have one you should be able to find one and if you have one that you want to sell there are buyers available.
The trailers are well insulated. With the double pane windows and good insulation you seldom hear unwanted noise from outside. The furnace is not really needed until you get into the low 40s.
