Since your trailer is a single axle, '62 Globe Trotter, the odds are good
that this axle has seen much better days, and does not owe you anything.

In your case, all is riding on the one axle, and safety and performance
issues are a primary concern.

Remember, the wheels, tires, brakes, shock absorbers, and axle are the only
thing between your bottom and the road, hence this is not a place to skimp.
