Re: [A/S] VINTAGE TECH QUESTION

Thanks to everyone for their axle wisdom ! We didn't have an doubts about replacing it at first & had actually taken it to someone local to do the work. When he never got around to it & then wouldn't order the axle Ronnie wanted, we brought it back home, completed other projects, & camped locally in it for a couple of years. Then when we went to the Airstream place in Dallas to make arrangements for the axle & were told that it wasn't necessary, we began to wonder what we should do! Doug's statement about a '62 being hard & shaking the trailer apart describes our 1st long trip to Indiana ! Not only did our cabinets come open which we're used to, Ronnie had to replace a number of interior rivets when we got home!.
