Re: [A/S] 1999 Safari

Thanks, Tony!
I was so wound up I did make it sound like I was going to do it my self--not! I was more interested in the battery situation, as there is one battery mounted outside right now, behind the propane tanks. My Bambi Safari had two in an enclosed box in the same place. This one has a hard plastic case around it with metal brackets holding it to the frame.

What I meant to ask was how involved the electrical upgrade would be (so I can be better educated when I take it to someone to upgrade it for me). I appreciate the description of your system and the referral to AJL Solar. Solar specialists are hard to find in my area:-)

And is it possible (or recommended) to replace the door lock so the dead bolt can't be accidentally activated? Is there an upgrade that doesn't rely on duct tape and extra keys? (although I'll have extra keys). I don't recall this issue in my previous '04 Bambi.

Thanks so much! Any more suggestions always appreciated. I woke up this morning with no buyer's remorse (except I probably paid too much, but that's another story:-) It's been a frustrating three month search but I think I finally found the one I can call home for a while. There were some really nice ones all the way across the continent, but too much hassle to get to from here. On a day when it was hard to listen to the news, I think I had something pleasant to think about on the way home:-)
