Agreed with all said, so far. Wanted to add... I LOVE my cork floor. Easy
to install, soft/squishy to the feet & dropped breakables, easy to sweep &
clean & not to chill to bare feet. Lumber Liquidators has great prices...
watch for sales.

Well, I re-joined the band today and took delivery of my new-to-me 1999 27'
twin bed Safari. I finally had some time to sit alone in the coach and start
making notes and plans, and it was nice to have a silver shadow in my rear
view mirror again.
I am having a Max-Air 2 cover put on the fantastic fan vent, and eventually
want to add a fan and vent cover in the BR as well.
Where do folks put flat screen tv's in a twin bed layout? On the cabinet
sides? And how do you fasten the wall mount so it doesn't pull out when
traveling, or do you remove the tv each time you move?
I'm splurging and getting a satellite tv system and have opted for the roof
mount, with an advisory to leave enough room for eventual solar panels. Any
warnings or better suggestions? I thought about a portable system but I
suspect they get stolen a lot. I don't want to have to haul it in every
night or whenever I leave the coach parked.
The city water inlet on the side of the rear bumper (that was a surprise) is
uncovered and just has a screen filter between the pipe and the road. What
part is missing? Surely it is not supposed to be that way.
I can't wait to rip out the carpet and replace it with just about anything
else. What are materials to consider or stay away from?
I'm seriously considering a Wilson trucker/RV antenna and cell phone
booster, but wonder if there is a better option? Do you need two complete
systems i.e. one for the truck and one for the RV? I get my internet by
Verizon MiFi and also have a Droid for a phone.
And finally (ha, for now), if you want to have a spare tire and wheel, is it
safe to mount it on the frame, or does it need to be carried in the truck?
Many thanks for your patience in my nervous nellie preparations to launch!
And MANY thanks for the referral to Jim Polk. He was fast and thorough and
very impressive. I'm moving forward with a policy from RV
Advantage/Nationwide/Allied.
