[A/S] a question

I'm winterizing the trailer. Can I, without causing any damage, remove the batteries to warm storage,cover the terminals with electrical tape and leave the trailer plugged into shore power for the winter? I'd like to have the 110 lights working and use an electric heater if we should happen to have an overnight guest. Thanks much
