Hi Daisy,

I've had a Hott Rod on my trailer since 2000. I don't have a switch, I
just ran the cord to a plug in my bedroom, next to the bed.

That way, if I'm someplace like a 3 amp rally I can easily unplug it.

It doesn't take as much electricity as the gas/electric water
heaters..... 450 watts....

About once a year I have to remove it and throw the rod on the bench
grinder and get all the crud off it, from hard water.
