Once again, my favorite "not so dumb blonde" is right on.

The 3/4 ton (2500) is much more truck than the 1/2 ton (1500).

If you crawl under them (or put the truck on a lift), you do not have to be
a structural engineer to see some remarkable differences. For example, The
2500 has a much heavier and stronger frame. Even the wheels are much
stronger. The drive shaft is a large diameter heat treated Alcoa ALUMINUM
design which is both light, and stiff, and strong.
