Hi Oliver, the last two engines made by International-Navistar are the
dogs that nearly sank Ford. The 6.0 and the 6.4 were so bad that Ford
sued Navistar for billions of dollars and won an "undisclosed amount"
Ford now makes their own engine, the 2011 Super Dutys were the first to
get the Ford made engine. Ford and International divorced after the debacle.
Sadly, the truck I bought, that committed suicide, was the 6.0. I'm now
in a class action suit against Ford.
Its presumed that Ford knows what changes they need to make to the 6.0s
and the 6.4s but with the lawsuits it would be not only an admission but
would cost them a fortune in upgrading existing owners' trucks.
So, every month I read about what great profits they made this
quarter.... while so many of us got totally screwed.
BTW, my '99 had the 7.3 diesel and it was bulletproof!
