Hi Tony,
I'm going to let you worry about the weight, I know you can add....
I wonder if 165 Lbs would tear the toggle right through the plywood if
it got to dancing on a rough road. Maybe a metal plate securely glued
and screwed to the plywood and then the hardware? That way the yank
would be spread over a bigger area. Plywood isn't very strong that way
because of the thin layers of wood sandwiched ( or worse yet wood chips)

Hi Daisy,
Actually I don't think they will move at all going down any road that I would take my trailer down. But s**t happens. If the trailer were to roll over nothing would hold things in place (ask me sometime how I know this). As someone else mentioned I'm talking about a metal hollow wall molly not a toggle bolt. In an accident I'd feel better if the batteries were somewhat restrained. If the restraints rip out in the process of doing their job, so be it. I have insulated the positive connections so there should be no danger of a short. There are many things inside a trailer that are not restrained at all, I just want to make it less likely that something that stores enough energy to melt down a woolly mammoth doesn't get loose.
Thanks for your thoughts,
Tony
