RE: [A/S] Squarestream

Thanks for the history. Our 1982 24' Airstream Motor home seems to be a one
of a kind...the factory has no record of it being a rear bath aluminum
Airstream. They seem to think it is an Argosy with a mid bath. I suspect
they were making 24' Argosy motorhomes in 1982 and someone wanted an
aluminum one so they built it..I wouldn't mind it being an Argosy because I
was considering a 20' Argosy motor home at the time I found this one..but it
is titled as a 1982 Airstream with a Chevy 454- 7.4 L engine on a P30
chassis...just received word that she passed her smog test here in
California so watch out..we hope to be on the road soon.

Airstream started building that "shape" coach in 1985 as the revived
Argosy. The exterior skin was metal with fiberglass end caps. This
continued thru 1990 during which they changed the exterior to a
fiberglass sandwich laminate the same as they used on their motorhomes.

In 1990 they introduced the square built Airstream Landyacht or
squarestream. Much to the horror of the WBCCI. 1992 marked last year of
square built Airstream travel trailers.
