I have played with voice software for years, and
It always gets better. My problem, is I never think of
It. Now, I have a app on my android phone that translates
Spoken words into a different language. I have only been
Using it with Spanish so far, and am really imptessed with
The accuracy. It is certainly more accurate than my typing..
Reads back the translation, amazing...the software available
On windows and android, is great...I should start using it more...

Anybody using speech recognition instead of the keyboard for text entry?

I have played with the microsoft speech recognition program that
comes with some versions of XP and found that it does surprisingly
well. I don't use it routinely (I touch-type since high school), but
I know it works. You can speak directly into outlook or a word
 processor, and even command programs.

See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306901 and various links from there.

I guess it can be downloaded from microsoft if it didn't come with
the computer. Anybody using it already?
