Pex tubing was a disaster in the housing industry in the late 70s.
The problem was that the plastic "creeped" or cold flowed under constant
pressure and evenually came apart at the fittings. So homes had to be
replumbed with copper.
The fittings have been re designed, and are now OK, I believe. This should
be a good solution for RVs, but I have not followed its use, here.
