RE: [A/S] Airstream bike rack

Anne, I don't want you to be discouraged with the installation. Do you or a
friend of any type of a sander or Dremmel that you can use to take down the
ends? Have you installed the rack yet? You can install the rack and let the
lid up until you get to where some one can help you.

Dave

Thanks, Ed, but I got the same suggestion from Dave, and I do not have a
good handle (sorry) on what it will take to trim that piece given the tools
I have left that haven't been sold or packed, and the strength I have to use
them. I have some tin snips, but they don't look up to the job. What did
your installer use to trim that bumper lid, and presumably soften that sharp
edge? I'm getting very discouraged and wish I had just sold the bike and
never bought the rack now. Anyone do this on their own w/o a machine shop
handy?

stymied at the access to the back luggage compartment, and even the bumper
storage door is going to be a very tight fit.

have it on a Bambi, and that back storage door is much smaller than what I
have. Still, it looked like the door might not completely open.

a slight bit of trimming; 2008 19' Bambi. Once it is installed; it will take
you about 10 minutes max to learn how to use.
