Paula,
My 1994 Airstream 360 is on the P30 chases with the 454/7.2 Gas. I am trying to get a good calibration on milage, but the unit has an 80 gallon tank and I am not sure if the APU has a 10 or 105gallon tank. I filled up one time with 87 gallons while on my two week trip to Southern California. To fill the tanks takes over 45 minutes since after the automatic shut off begins to stop fueling except for 1/2 of one tenth of a gallon at each squeze of the fueling handle for the last 25 to 30 gallons.
Is this a common problem with the Airstream fuel system? I suspect there is a fuel tank vent problem that keeps me from filling the fuel tank efficiently.
My nearest Airstream Dealer is East of Bermingham, AL and that is over 200 miles from where I live in Huntsville, AL. I called and was told they have a three week backlog on dock at this time. They welcomed me to bring the Motorhome to their location and leave it for inspection and service/repair. Sounded like they wanted me to also leave my bank debit card.
This is definitely a learning experience since I bought a new Airstream 34 Limited Trailor in 1985 and kept it until 1990 when I returned to work for 12 years.
My best to you with your refurbishment venture.
John

Hi John, welcome to this list...we have a 1982 24' Airstream
motorhome...that has the 454 7.4 L Chevy engine on a P30 chassis...not sure
what your mh body looks like but ours looks like a trailer..we have a lot
more problems than your minor ones so congratulations..you have done well in
your purchase..also, ours has 107,000 + miles on it...and all of the smog
equipment had been removed...argh...but now she is smogged and licensed in
California.
I am trying to not do too much to it but everything we touch seems to need
to be updated...so it is like, "if you give a mouse a cookie, he will ask
for a glass of milk, and if you give him a glass of milk, he will ask for a
straw,"
Congratulations and welcome, we hope to see you on the road..paula poll

I purchases a 1994 Airstream Classic 360 Chevorlet Gas Drive. Unit was
stored for nearly 12 years and had 18250 miles when I bought it in January
2012. My wife and I have taken a trip to Southern California and put over
5000 miles on the Motorhome with only minor problems that I could fix and
keep us traveling.
We joined the WBCCI and expect to take advantage of trips with groups this
summer.
Looking forward to many miles traveling throughout the USA.
