As a kid, Roy & Trigger and Dale & Buttermilk were THE favorites of the era to appear year after year at the Houston rodeo, in the old Sam Houston Coliseum in downtown Houston. At the end of their performances, they always rode around the edge of the arena shaking hands (touching hands) with the masses of kids like me who would crowd down from all over the stadium into the high dollar ring side seats for the chance to see their heros up close & personal. They always a smile & kind word. Both were great role models for the kids of that generation.
THE END OF AN ERA.......
>Yeah, its actually been well over a year...... FYI Trigger and Bullet were sold to RFD-TV and travel around the country to events, such as the
>Rose Bowl Parade where they were on a float. I had been to the Branson Museum and wondered to myself... what were they thinking???
>They spent too much money considering that baby boomers were the only ones who would want to go.... I had also been to the one in Victorville, CA
>where I met Roy and had a nice talk with him.
