Re: [A/S] More door lock woes

Thanks, Tony. I can physically move the jaws with my fingers, but they don't respond to anything on the door latch, and sadly, there is no separate dead lock. I need to get one. There was one on my Bambi and I stupidly assumed they came standard.

I was approached by some folks in Jeff City who were heading to the International to help set up (from LA) and figured I needed to get moving west. Had the meet started Monday I would have stuck around, but it's too long to stay here and wait. Next year in ND, however, and I hope it's cooler!

I'll try the WD40 and see if I can massage it back to life.

If that doesn't help I'm afraid you will need to remove the lock. There are three screws on the inside handle plate and four on the door edge. You may have to cut the caulking around the outside. Look for anything bent or out of place. Any competent lock smith should be able to help…. but they tend to be expensive. Do you have a dead bolt lock also? It could be used until the main lock is fixed.
