> Hello All, I am looking for information on who makes after market black water tanks for vintage airstreams. I have a 1966 Overlander International, I have been doing a frame off restoration on, and have found it very dificult to locate anyone who can help me with this. I have contacted Airstream for the original part#, and then went to Inca Plastics, and Best Plastics. Inca could not cross reference the airstream part# with their mold number. Best plastics won't deal with me as I am not a dealer, and camping world wants nothing to do with it. Please Help! Thanks, Mark (If you have information that would help, please send me a e-mail directly at andersonsfinecarpentry@... ).

You might try contacting one of the Airstream dealers/authorized repair centers who are on the web. Two years ago, I needed a new blackwater tank for my 1964 Overlander Land Yacht International. I was able to source an exact replacement through Inland RV:

http://www.inlandrv.com/

Inland has a "Parts Sale" page that lists only a portion of the parts that they offer for Vintage Airstreams. The tank that I ordered through them only required intallation of the fitting for the toilet in the correct location for my coach . . . for a modest additional charge, they included the necessary parts for the Thetford dump valve.

There are several other Airstream dealers/authorized repair centers that may be able to help in sourcing the tank that you need:

http://www.outofdoorsmart.com/

http://www.acefogdallrv.com/

http://cgtrailer.com/

I am sure that there are other sources, but I have had good experiences with each of the above sources when purchasing parts for my Overlander and Minuet.

Good luck with your coach!

Kevin
