Oliver,
Two products were used to seal the exterior seams on your coach.
Acryl-R https://store.airstream.com/product_info.php?products_id=163
is the thinner product used to seal vertical seams and along the top of
any side trim.
Alternative products include aluminum Gutterseal in a squeeze tube.

And Parbond aluminum, also in a tube.

These products require practice before you attempt to apply it to your
coach. It is a very unforgiving product. It can not be used on seams
were the upper metal overlaps the lower.
The second product was Vulkem, last made by Tempro. This may have been
discontinued. If so it has been replaced by Tempro's 635. See 2nd link
above. Both are polyurethane based sealants.
Vulkem was used to seal all penetrations (holes in the shell) from the
inside, windows, doors etc. On the outside it was used to seal all roof
penetrations, and applied as an eyebrow above your doors and windows.
This is a very thick product in a caulk tube. It is more forgiving in
it's application. Once set it is a very elastic product that seems to
last forever. Use a plastic scraper to knock any brittle or loose old
stuff and apply the new over the old that still adheres.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES USE A SILICONE BASED SEALANT on the shell of your
coach.
