Wow, Paula, this is a really great addition to the mystery! Maybe there could be a category for the Alumapalooza gathering at the factory: "AIRSTREAMS WE NEVER BUILT BUT CAN SEE PARKED OUTSIDE OUR WINDOW."
Any chance you could share some snapshots of this existent/nonexistent beauty?
Many thanks,
Bruce Humphrey

We have a 1982 24' Airstream MH. When I called Jackson Center, they tried
to tell me it is an Argosy. But it is an Airstream (not painted and it is
silver)...they just didn't make a 24' in 1982...just 29 and 31 foot
motorhomes. But the Vin told us that it is an Airstream with a center bath
(we have a rear bath) and no one remodeled it to make it a rear bath.. I had
to buy the 1979 Service manual to find a guide to what is what and where.
We have proof that we have a 1982 24' Airstream rear bath motorhome because
we have it..not because Jackson Center has a record of it. They also made
funeral coaches in 24' that year (flowers in the back where the bathroom
goes, casket on the streetside couch spot, and family on the other
lounge...look at Fred's Vintage Airstream site for 1982.
Enjoy your 20' Argosy...it is an even better size than our 24'..and I think
it is cool that it is silver...our mhs are cousins.
Congratulations.
Paula
