The FJ does have a big blind spot, but you get used to it, we have small convex mirrors stuck on the side mirrors.  We've had it for over 4 yrs, you definitely get used to it and the extra maneuvers you do to check.

We've also got an Isuzu Vehicross....probably one of the other worst vehicles for blind spots.....LOL
