Re: [tabtrailers] Jockey Wheel Directions Step by Step

It's not that bad. the lever loosens/tightens on the cylinder body of the jack - much like some jacks have a release to swing away when not in use. So the purpose of the lever is to make the "big" up and down to get the wheel out of driving danger's way. The crank is like any old jack. There are two slits on the bottom of the cylinder to hold the wheel in place so it doesn't flop around while driving.

The windows and shades (imho) are a bigger pain to learn than the jack ;-)

Subject: [tabtrailers] Jockey Wheel Directions Step by Step

Hello! I have searched the messages and files for step by step directions on how to both raise and lower the Jockey Wheel with no luck. If such a file exists can somebody please post the link? I read the Jockey Wheel basics PDF and was totally confused. It may be because my T@B hasnt arrived yet and all this will become crystal clear once I see it? I want to have a printout on hand. Those levers and cranks are intimidating looking. My boat trailers and popups never had anything like that. I have already added a bungee cord to my list of things I need.

Thanks!

Melissa
